The Gift of Giving: Your Decluttered Pile
How, Why, & Where to Donate
As organizers, it's a way of life for us to help people declutter. The impact it has on the home and its inhabitants is quite remarkable.
For instance, life feels less heavy. One can find their items quickly--even cleaning is less of a chore when you feel empowered with the knowledge of where to put things away!
But what happens to the things that get decluttered?
Its a common question amongst most of our clients, especially the thought "where will my donations help the most?".
With Thanksgiving & the Holiday season fast approaching, we wanted to embolden the spirit of thankfulness by creating an exhaustive list of what to do AFTER you've taken the time to declutter.
HOW:
Most of the specific organizations or charities listed below have a drop-off center with their contact information.
Read the description of the category you intend to donate to and see which center best fits your items/ which organizations would benefit most from your items.
(Some listed will come and pick-up your donations for free!)
WHY:
By donating to these organizations and charities, you are giving new life to your decluttered pile, but also new life to people in need. There is a renewed “thankfulness” once a person declutters a space in their home. One can truly see what they love again and it forces a pride in the things you choose to keep with you.
We want this feeling for every client, every person, to experience. It is a privilege to experience. Yet even after this, it is a gift to give this feeling, this pride in their belongings, to people who have little…that they may feel joy in owning the items we no longer need.
WHERE:
Murfreesboro
2. Franklin
3. Nashville
Wishing you a very wonderful Holiday Season. Our hearts are full of gratitude for all of you & the joy we've been able to create together. Happy Thanksgiving!
With Love,
The Suddenly Simple Team
